Architecture

This current series draws even more directly from painters and architects than my previously exhibited work. Using architectural subjects as sources of surface texture, these works are affectionately mimetic of Clement Greenberg’s influence on mid-century painters whom he urged to take their work off the easel, and to work from the surface outward, uncontained by the edges of the frame.
